Summary

Summary
Last update: 23 Nov 2016

Adria Airlines allow the passengers to bring cabin (hand) and checked baggage. The dimensions and weight limits of the baggage must be complied with in order to avoid any extra fees.

Cabin Baggage

The passengers can take one piece of hand luggage into the cabin. The maximum weight of such baggage can’t exceed 8 kg (17.6 lbs.). The dimensions shouldn’t exceed 55 x 40 x 23 cm. Additionally, passengers can bring a jacket, an umbrella, crutches, binoculars, or a camera.

Checked Baggage

The size and weight of the checked baggage depend on the class.

· Economy class passengers, as well as charter flight passengers, are allowed to bring one piece of luggage not heavier than 23 kg (50.7 lbs.).

· Business class passengers can bring one piece of luggage not heavier than 32 kg (70.5 lbs.)

The dimension limits are the same for all classes. The sum of height, width, and length can’t exceed 158 cm.

Extra Baggage Fees

Passengers who want to carry extra baggage are subject to additional fees.

· For the second piece of luggage, the dimensions of which don’t exceed 158 cm and the weight is under 23 kg, a passenger will pay €75. If it weighs from 23 to 32 kg, the fee is €125. If the dimensions exceed 158 cm, the extra fee is €175 (for less than 23 kg) and €225 (from 23 to 32 kg)

· The third piece of baggage under 23 kg costs €75. If the weight is between 23 and 32 kg, the fee is €125.

· The fifth piece of baggage costs €175 for under 23 kg and €225 for luggage between 23 and 32 kg.

Sports Equipment

The airline accepts sports equipment to the luggage hold only if it fits into the “small” category. Fees for medium and large equipment are calculated based on the extra baggage fee table.

· Small equipment weighs under 15 kg and only one of the dimensions is up to 140 cm. The rest of the dimensions are smaller.

· Medium equipment weighs from 15 to 32 kg and only one of the dimensions is between 140 and 200 cm. The other two dimensions are under 140 cm.

· Large equipment weighs from 32 to 45 kg and only one of the dimensions is between 200 and 250 cm while the other two are under 200 cm.

Musical Instruments

· Small music instruments can be carried inside the cabin as part of the hand luggage allowance but only if they fit in the overhead compartment. The permitted dimensions depend on the aircraft type and need to be discussed with the customer service in advance.

· Large music instruments are subject to the extra baggage fees unless they don’t exceed the dimensions allowed for free baggage and are the only piece of luggage taken onboard.

Baggage for Children

· Children from 2 to 12 years of age comply with the same baggage rules as adults do.

· Children under 2 years (infants) can’t have any cabin baggage except a stroller/pushchair and baby food to be consumed during the flight. A baby onboard is allowed one piece of checked luggage up to 23 kg.

Baggage claim is done in accordance with the airport rules.
