Exception for cabin allowance - 5 Kg for ATR aircrafts.

You can not carry additional item separately Your cabin baggage. Laptop case, umbrela, camera bag, etc., must fit to opur carry-on bag.

Luggage allowance for infants under 2 years is 10 Kg on all flights and service classes. Air Algérie frequent flyers receive an additional allowance offered which differs from a card level to another.

For handling reasons, luggage should not  exceed 32 Kg. Otherwise, it should be spread as several pieces under 32 kg each one. Heavier bags will require separate shipping on  Air Algerie cargo.

In case of missing items in your baggage, make sure to provide to the service in charge at the airport all required documents and complete appropriate form in order to facilitate the search operation.

Air Algerie Baggage regulations and claims

Welcome on board on Air Algerie flights. We kindly ask you to check Air Algerie luggage policy and terms and conditions before your flight. Checking it before can save your time and additional cost.

On all Air Algerie flights, you are entitled to 1 carry-on bag and 1 checked- in the bag. 

Cabin luggage 

Your personal Air Algerie cabin luggage size should not exceed more than 10 kg/22lbs with the size of 55 Height x 35 Length x 25 Width cm /21,5 x 13,5 x 10in. 

It is not allowed to carry a laptop bag as a separate bag. Cabin size bag should include laptop bag and all small bags and purses. 

Please, make sure all your important and personal belongings are in the one bag. 

If your cabin luggage weighs more than 10 kg or it excises the Air Algerie allowance you will be charged for exceeded weight.  

Check -in Luggage 

Air Algerie flight Checked-In luggage size and number of bags depends on the type of the flight, class, and itinerary. Maximum bag weight for all Air Algerie flights is 32kg/ 70 lb and total of 158cm/62in in height+length+wheels. 

The bag can be any shape as long as the size combined is 158 cm. 

If your luggage is over 32 Kg, please use additional bags and do check it in. 

For oversized and overweight bags you’ll have to use the services of Air Algerie cargo shipping.

Luggage allowance for infants on all Air Algerie flight is 10 kg.

For frequent flyers, additional allowance might be offered. 

For all luggage, cabin and checked in, a exceed weight will be calculated according to your itinerary, and final destination.  

Special equipment

Air Algerie accepts bicycles, music instruments, sports equipment and baby equipment as a special equipement.

All specialized equipment has to be packed appropriate and not exceeding 23kg and 158cm in size.

Bicycles should be stored in a way that pedals and prominent parts are removed, the air pressure in tires decreased, and handlebar turned lengthwise.  

Prohibited items on all Air Algerie flights  

By the law and regulation neither your carry on luggage or checked luggage should include listed items: guns and knives, any explosive materials and toxic materials. All flammable products, compressed gas, diving oxygen tanks and radioactive materials are all forbidden.

On onboard flights, it is prohibited to carry on: any sharp cutting object, oils, liquids, sprays, glue, lotions organic products like jam, honey, and similar spreads, also white cheese and spread cheese not allowed to carry on. 

Carry-on luggage should not exceed more than 100 ml of liquids. This does not include baby's food or prescription medications and liquids.  

Claims and complaints 

In the case of lost or damaged luggage, please inform Air Algerie as soon as possible. At the Air Algerie, help desk fill the form and provide the luggage receipt. You’ll get it for all your checked bags. 

Your luggage should be delivered to you in short period of time. 

If not received within 2 days send a list of content so it can be located easier. 

If you notice objects are missing from your luggage, we advise you to inform the stuff as soon as possible. All complaints received 3 days after the flight will not be accepted.
