If You have Panorama Club Classic/Premium card You may have one piece up to 12 kg / 26lb weight.

In addition to hand luggage, the following items can be carried on board free of charge:

• 1 ladies handbag;
• 1 personal laptop;
• 1 small camera or binoculars;
• 1 umbrella or walking stick;
• reading material;
• 1 pair of crutches;
• 1 overcoat.

For travelers with infant In addition to hand luggage, the following items can be carried on board free of charge:

• 1 travel-size bag (per infant) containing clothing, disposable toiletries, soft toys and baby food. Total dimensions up to 55 х 40 х 20 сm; weight up to 5 kg.
• 1 fully collapsible baby stroller / pushchair or 1 car-type child seat which may be carried in passenger cabin.

For Long-haul flights (zones 3 & 4) Business Class passengers may have two pieces with total weight up to 15 kg/ 33lb.

If You have Economy Class ticket on direct/connecting flights to/from Beijing and connecting flights to/from the USA the allowance - 2 piecies of baggage, up to 23kg / 50lb each. Also You may have to bags up to 23kg / 50lb each if You have Premium Economy ticket.

If You are Panorama Premium card holder You may have 3 pieces of baggage.

You may have 3 bags up to 25kg each if You have Economy Class ticket on direct/connecting flights to/from Beijing and connecting flights to/from the USA.

An infant may have 1 piece of baggage up to 10kg /22lb (if the ticket includes free baggage allowance) and One fully collapsible baby stroller / pushchair or one car-type child seat which may be carried in passenger cabin, irrespective of service class (including 0PC tickets – hand luggage only fare).

Ukraine International Airlines is a dynamic Ukrainian Airline that has a baggage policy that is structured according to the class a passenger is traveling in and the exclusive membership they hold with the airline. 

Checked Baggage Allowance 

In the Premium Economy class and the Economy class, the passengers are allowed one checked baggage piece of 23kg while in the business class they are allowed a single piece of checked baggage of 32kg. However, holders of the Panorama Club Classic and the Premium memberships are allowed an extra 2kg of checked baggage in addition to any checked baggage that does not exceed 32kg.

Those traveling with their sporting equipment should note that the equipment will count as one piece of baggage if they are within the 23kg limit. However, for the case of surf boards that are over 300 cm wide, they will be considered as cargo and transported as the same.

Excess baggage will attract excess baggage fees, and the airline extends discounts to passengers in this category to help them minimize their overall cost. A passenger will enjoy a 50% discount should they pay for their excess baggage within 24 or more hours before the departure. The same discount applies to all types of extra baggage including cats and dogs in the cabin except the holding area. 

Hand Luggage Allowance 

The hand luggage allowance is designed with the view of the flight booked which is either domestic or international and whether it is a long haul or a middle haul flight. 

Domestic or Middle Haul Flights 

The Economy class passengers in the general allowance category are allowed to carry one piece of up to 7kg. On the contrary, Economy class passengers who are Panorama Club Classic and Premium Card Holders will be allowed a single piece of up to 12kg which is similar to the hand luggage allowance extended to the Business Class passengers in both categories. 

International or Long Haul Flights 

In the Economy and Premium Economy Classes, passengers on the general allowance category will be allowed one hand luggage of 7kg while those in the Panorama Club Classic and Premium Card Holders categories will be allowed a single piece of 12kg. This is in contrast to the Business Class where the passengers will be allowed up to two pieces of 15kg in weight. In both cases the dimensions of the hand luggage should be limited to 55 x 40 x 20 cm. 

In addition to this, the passengers will be allowed to bring a hand bag, camera, laptop, umbrella, overcoat, or a pair of crutches free of charge. Infant passengers who are strictly below the age of 2 years will be allowed one travel sized bag with dimensions of 55 x 40 x 20cm with a weight limited to 5kg. They will also be authorized to bring along a collapsible baby stroller or a baby pushchair free of charge. 

Baggage Claim

Passengers are highly advised to collect their baggage immediately upon arrival. In the event that a passenger has lost their baggage they should contact the Baggage Service Office and file a Property Irregularity Report. If the baggage is not recovered within a 21 day period, the affected passenger can file for claims. A successful claim should have the following details attached to it; the Property Irregularity Report, the ticket for the route, baggage tags and other documents that will aid the speedy processing of the claims.

In cases that involve the damage to property or lost content, the affected passenger will be required to fill the Damage and Pilferage Report within seven days of the happening of the incident. After seven days a claim can be processed and to speed up the process, the passenger will be required to avail the requisite documents like Damage and Pilferage Report, the ticket for the route, baggage tags, and other valid documents. 

Restricted and Prohibited Items 

Any form of sharp objects that are capable of use as weapons are not allowed in the hand luggage while a certain category of items is totally forbidden for carriage as baggage content. These Items are; mercury barometers, corrosive chemicals, liquids that are highly flammable, substances with oxidizing properties, radio-active materials, infectious substances, magnetizing material and all categories of compressed gasses. In addition to these are devices that have electro shock abilities, destabilizing devices like pepper spray and mobility aids that are powered by the use of lithium batteries.
