Aerolineas Argentinas is Argentina’s premier airline with a notable presence in both North and South America and the global stage. Passengers who chose to travel with this airline have the option of traveling under one of their three classifications; Economy(Tourist), Club Economy or Club Condor. For domestic flights, passengers in Economy will be allowed one checked baggage of 15 kgs while Club Economy passengers are allowed two checked pieces of baggage of 23 kgs each.

Infants in domestic flights do not have a baggage allowance entitlement but a provision is made to allow them to travel with baby pushchairs or collapsible strollers in the passenger cabin subject to space availability.

The baggage allowance differs greatly for international flights as provisions are made as per the class one is traveling in together with the flight's origin and destination. Economy passengers on flights between Argentina and Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay or Venezuela are allowed one piece of checked baggage weighing 23kg while their Club Economy counterparts are allowed two pieces each weighing 23kg.

Flights operating between Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela or Dominican Republic, and USA, Mexico or Dominican Republic have a provision for 2 pieces of checked baggage weighing 23 kg for each Economy passengers while their Club Condor counterparts enjoy an allowance of 3 pieces of checked baggage that weigh 23 kg each.

On the other hand, flights operating between Argentina, Bolivia ,Colombia, Chile, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, or the Dominican Republic and Barcelona, Madrid or Roma give a provision of 1 piece of baggage weighing 23 kg for the promo and Economic classes within Economy and 2 pieces of 23 kg on the Flexible Class of Economy. This differs to the Club condor travelers within the same destination who are allowed 3 pieces of checked baggage weighing 23 kg.

Subsequently, passengers flying between Brasil and USA, Mexico ,Columbia or Dominician Republic, are allowed two pieces of checked baggage weighing 32 kg each. Additionally, flights operating between Brasil and Spain, Itlay, USA or Dominician Republic are allowed one piece of checked baggage weighing 23kg in Economy which is similar to Club Condor except for the fact that the weight of the checked baggage is limited to 30kg.

The dimensions of all the carry-on baggage should not exceed 158 cm for a single piece of baggage and 273cm in the case of two pieces of baggage.

All the outlined baggage allowances apply to both adults and children, but infants not occupying a seat are allowed one piece of checked baggage weighing only 10 kg with dimensions limited to 115cm in total.

There is a slight difference in the carry-on luggage allowance in both domestic and international flights. Domestic Passengers in Economy are allowed one piece of hand luggage weighing 8kg whereas those in the Club economy are allowed one piece that weighs 10kg. International passengers in Economy, Club economy or Club Condor are allowed a single piece of carry-on luggage that weighs 10kg. The dimensions of the hand baggage should be 55cm x 35cm x 25 cm for length, width, and height whose sum should not be in excess of 115cm.

In case a passenger is a victim of lost, delayed, damaged or stolen items in their luggage they are required to report the matter immediately to the baggage claim counter where details of the baggage will be recorded and the value established. Passengers are advised not to leave the airport with damaged baggage otherwise they will need to prove that the damage was as a result of mishandling by the airline. If a form is not completed, the airline will only follow through with damaged or stolen baggage within three days. Of note is also that if the baggage is lost, damaged or delayed and not reported, the airline will only follow through with such claims 10 days within the estimated time of delivery for any baggage that is unaccompanied. A tracking service is also available to passengers free of charge to enable them monitor their luggage. However this service might not be available in some countries due to local limitations.

In conclusion, Aerolineas Argentinas does not allow any sharp objects in carry-on luggage as they have the ability to be used as weapons. Prohibited objects are non flammable gases, explosive substances, flammable liquid, compressed gases, corrosive elements, toxic substances and weapons.
